Holden Advisors, thought leaders in pricing strategy and experts in implementing better pricing through commercial selling teams, is seeking an experienced pricing consultant. The candidate should be creative, driven, and passionate about making a difference with clients in the field of B2B pricing. Our consultants are subject matter experts and trusted advisors in pricing, marketing, sales, competitive strategy, and product development. Our project teams work collaboratively with the client’s team to improve client profitability and market position. The consultant position includes face-to-face time with clients for interviewing stakeholders, data analysis, value analysis, and presenting project findings. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and expertise in working with spreadsheets, Tableau, and statistical methodologies. Experience in how understanding customer value can impact price strategy and price setting and the ability to quantify financial value is highly desirable. Consultants are responsible for developing the critical deliverables including formulating pricing recommendations and processes, price and discount governance, product lifecycle price actions. Importantly, delivering actionable recommendations that can be executed by sellers using value messaging and quantified value with concise business case tools is a clear differentiator to achieve measurable price improvement.


  • MBA required
  • Proven experience in working with B2B pricing, marketing, finance and/or product management functions
  • Demonstrated skill acting as an advisor to a client needing pricing improvement
  • Ability to lead projects, collaborate with client teams, and lead executive reviews
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing or marketing consulting, B2B operations, marketing management or management consulting
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Data visualization and storytelling
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in data analytics and working knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience in quantifying customer value and financial impact
  • Work history that includes billable consulting or project-based functions is highly desirable
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, engaging manner
  • Ability to produce logical interpretation of data and write concise reports
  • Experience in developing and delivering persuasive and motivating presentations to all levels within an organization
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills
  • Key personal attributes for this position include: a creative problem solver who is self-driven, inquisitive, with keen attention to detail and an active listener
  • Project management skills are a plus

Travel Requirements

  • Position requires travel. Position can be based anywhere in the US.
